Featuring two legendary Hurriganes guitarists, Black Devils feat. Ile Kallio & Janne Louhivuori play the Hurriganes’ best hits and live favourites, not forgetting the surprises. The 2024 gigs will celebrate not only Ile Kallio’s return to the band, but also the new studio album “Get Ready” (Emsalö Music), which was written by Richard Stanley, Costello Hautamäki and Janne Louhivuori.

“It’s great to go on tour with both Ile Kallio and Janne Louhivuori. We play Ganes’ best classics and also focus on less-heard gems from Ile and Janne’s era. Surprises are also traditionally part of our repertoire. The band’s aim is to respect the original and to create a proper time travel to the past, but with the new album we are also looking to the future with Ile and Janne. Welcome!”, says J-P Kakkola, lead singer and drummer of Black Devils.

In addition to J-P Kakkola, Black Devils’ core line-up includes Tero Salminen (bass) and Matti Kähkönen (guitar). The band has released live albums with both Ile Kallio and Janne Louhivuori in recent years and has also previously collaborated with Richard Stanley, who produced Remu and Hurriganes’ Roadrunner album. In 1971, the Hurriganes were reportedly going to be called the Black Devils, but in the end Remu came up with Johnny and the Hurricanes, and the rest is history.
