PARIISIN KEVÄT ON A TOUR WITH THE RELEASE OF A NEW ALBUM

Pariisin Kevät will return from a more than four-year-long break from recording with the release of their eighth studio album, Sun yö on pian täällä on Friday 24 May 2024.

According to Arto Tuunela, when making the album, it felt important to find a balance between how to renew and at the same time keep the essence of Pariisin Kevät The band wanted to make a holistic album this time too, not just a collection of individual songs.

“My songs are sometimes more finished, sometimes just rough cuts that Artturi is able to take in production and arrangement directions I would never have thought of. Our collaboration is also fruitful in the sense that, at best, something completely new is found in the process. It often takes a lot of time, because we don’t want to make something mediocre and predictable. I hope that the end result is music that will stand the test of time and not feel too disposable or too imposing, but also not too self-indulgently difficult,” Tuunela reflects.

With the release of the album, the band will tour extensively in clubs and arenas around Finland in October and November, in addition to the festival summer.
